Description

Make sure the store provides thorough customer service. stock loading and merchandising, housekeeping within assigned responsibilities, and shelf price labelling.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work-related experience and Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
  • Ability to perform basic calculations accurately, must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public holidays, and Must be able to work under pressure

Job Description

Customer Service

  • Acknowledge all Clients and determine their needs. Advise Customers correctly on products, help clients with any product queries and Help with Client complaints in a timely manner.
  • Add on sales, e.g. paint vs. paint brushes, thinners, etc. and Ensure efficient Client service by ensuring that Customer’s purchases are loaded without any delay.
  • Ensure Customers purchase are loaded carefully without damaging the goods or the Customers vehicle
  • Advise clients on the additional services provided:
  • Delivery service / bulk deposits
  • Glass cutting, Plan reading, Credit programmes and Special orders
  • Trusses, Distant Ordering, and VIC Client Programme
  • Must be certified in Product Knowledge and Must be available in aisle of responsibility

Housekeeping

  • Ensure that your area is free of obstacles, that stock is merchandised immediately after being received, and that clients can enter and leave your aisle without any risk of injury or irritation.
  • Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility and Ensure the checklist is completed as required when on duty with Canteen and Toilet / Showers schedule

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Safety (OHSA) compliance (e.g., use of safety gear, ensuring client and staff safety) within area of responsibility
  • Ensure area of responsibility (racking and bulk) stock merchandise is safe to Clients and Colleagues to move safely within Store and Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager

Ready for Business

  • Adhere to Ready for Business and Beyond my Control as per the CB Way

Loss Prevention and Security

Find any gaps in the displays, look into the reasons behind them, and let management know about any worries. Be alert for questionable actions or persons, and notify management of any suspicions you may have. No goods will be loaded for a client without the necessary paperwork or proof of purchase.

About the job: Cashier

Description   

Ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate handling of all point-of-sale (POS) transactions and documentation. Make sure that no inventory or commodities pass through the Point of Sale (POS) unpaid for.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work-related experience and Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
  • Ability to perform basic calculations accurately and Must have strong administration skills
  • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays and Must be able to work under pressure

Job Description

Cash Handling

  • Ensure that all cash (including floats and petty cash) is allocated to your balance (no shorts and overs) and that goods are correctly identified and captured on the point-of-sale terminal.
  • Capture the correct payment type received from Clients on the Point-of-Sale Terminal and Ensure you always have sufficient change
  • Ensure Pickups are done accurately and within the set parameters and Ensure cash-ups are done accurately at the end of your shift
  • Ensure all your daily items have been dropped into the drop-safe or vault
  • Ensure that all transactions relating to other stores money, deliveries, and quotes are processed correctly.

Administration

  • Sign, compile and file all related documentation relating to the Cashiers function

Client Service

  • Offer fast, friendly, and efficient service to all Cashbuild Customers when checking in and out of the customer’s goods
  • Direct Clients to relevant person who can assist him / her and Ensure that you comply with the company’s dress code

Security Awareness
